Is it a good idea to give a kid a cell phone? I say it is because if you get lost you can call your parents and the calls would be short.
First, if a kid gets lost then they will start crying, but if he or she could call there parents and say I’m at Old Navy, so the parents of the child can go get him.
Second, they won’t be long because children don’t talk on the phone a lot on like adults. So the phone bill won’t be over 50.00 dollars.
This is why I think children should have phones.

I don’t think that kids should have their own cell phones. I think this because a lot of kid wont be able to handle them. They might loose them, break them or they might not be able to work them properly. I also think that not many people will be able to afford them. Cell phones also cause brain cancer.

I don’t kids should have cell phones because they wont be able to take care of it. Some kids will loose it, break it and some kids wont know how to work it. Cell phones also cost a lot, so many people wont be able to afford them. Its not a good idea because cell phones cause brain cancer.

It’s wrong only kids in grade 7 or 8 should have cells.
These are 5 reasons why i think it’s wrong.
1.parents payed alot of money kids might break them.
2.If you lose it and someone finds you’re cell they will no what you’re numbeer is.
3.If you’re alone and someone sees you they could steal you’re cell phone.
4.There not responsible enough.
5.If you have 4 kids in you’re family like i do it could cost alot only wealthy can afford.

Why SHOULDN’T kids have cell phones…. i’m Esther and I will tell you why
Usually the best age to get a cell phone is probobly 16-20. First of all, irresponsible kids could loose thier cell phone and it will just be a waste of money…. a lot of money. The person that finds it may use your number or other important numbers.
Second of all, only people that are wealthy (rich)
can afford it. Usually, both parents have to work to buy one for you. Your parents have to know if your responsible or not….even if you are rich.
There might be health risks associated with kids using cell phones. Studies show that cell phone waves affect the brain cells causing headaches.

One reason why kids should have cell phones is that if you ever get in trouble like being attacked or in another emergency you can you use the phone and get in touch with someone quickly.
Another reason why kids should have cell phones is that your parents can get in touch with you at any time, and be able to know your location is at any time.
Thats all I have to tell you about kids having cell phones.

Are you thinking about getting a cell phone for your kids? Read about it if it is good or bad for your kids.
I think that 5 year olds should not have a cell phone. But the age to get a cell phone is 13.
These are my reasons. At the age 13 you are probably responsible enough to have a cell phone. Maybe if you get a cell phone your parents want you to pay half of it and at the age of 13 you could be babysitting or doing something to get money to pay for it. Also at the age of 5 they can lose the phone VERY easily. Another reason is that if they lose it and someone finds it they can get the numbers and call your home or other numbers. It will also be a waste of money if the lose it.
That is my opinion, now it’s up to you if you want your kids to have a cell phone.

Should kids have a kids cell phone at five?
I think kids should not have a kids cell phone at age five, here are my reason.
1) kids can hart them shelf by keeping the cell phone on his/her ear.
2)They might forget how to use it or drop it and someone can copy your house phone. This is not a reason but do you want someone calling your home and you don’t know him. 3)I think the proper age to give a kidy cell phone is 10 or up because they can become responsible.
4)The other reason to give a kidy cell phone age at 10 is they will know how to use it and if a five year kid has a kidy cell phone then they might press something else.
5)If your kid gets lost in a mall or something else they don’t need a kidy phone they can just go to the customer services they can help your kid find there parents.
6) If your a wealthy family then you can afford two kidy cell but if your a poor family you can’t afford two kidy cell phones.
7)you child should not have a kidy cell phone at five because if they are young they might get use to real cell phones and when they grow up they might ask there parents may I please have a real cell phone in grade 6 and I tell you that’s really bad.
8)They might lose the cell phone somewhere or anytime like the park,mall,stores and everywhere. 9)It is not good because your child may talk for six minutes but it might call over and over and that’s bad your child should only talk for six minutes. 10)if they get lost somewhere then you gays need to make a meeting stop where everybody can come.

ATTENTION PARENTS! Have you ever heard of a cell phone for kids? I know what your thinking. Kids shouldnt have them. Well,I have a different oppinion. I think kids should have a celephone.If you think im crazy, listen to these reasons.First, if a kid gets lost out in a mall they can call you. Also,if your kids go to their friends house {7+}, they can use their cell phone to call you to pick them up. Dont worry, kids wont talk for that long, so there is no health problems. So in my oppinion, I think kids should have a celephone. Do you want one?

I think my opinion is kids shouldn’t have cell phones under the age of 10. There are advantages and disadvantages of having a cell phone. The disadvantages are:
If the phone gets lost, the numbers on it would be stolen and copied.
And another reason is because of health risks.
If a kid loses the cell phone, someone else can find it and they can call your home. Whoever finds your number can keep calling you repeatedly and disturb you. They can find your address with the number.
From recent research, it has found that too much use of a cell phone is bad for your brain and ears and can cause brain cancer. Others health concerns of too much use of a cell phone are headache and sleeplessness. Also cell phones emit electromagnetic radiation which can prove to be a health hazard.
Because of the different options on the cell phones, kids can easily get distracted which wastes time. Kids are busy chatting, messaging each other sending and listening to ring tones etc. Because of these things, they don’t pay much attention and don’t spend that much time with their family.
Because of the above stated reasons, kids should limit use of cell phone. They should use it only when it is necessary such as in case of emergencies. Other advantages are that you can keep in contact with your family members and keep them informed about your whereabouts. Also you can use cell phones in case of trouble or panic. Only because of these advantages you should use a cell phone but as a cell phone has more disadvantages, it is better for a kid under the age of 10 to not have a cell phone.

They’ve made new cellphone for kids.Though, I think it’s wrong. It could get lost and is a waste of money,plus only the wealthy can afford it.
I think it would be a waste of money because it could get lost. It would be a waste of money because you can only store a couple of phone numbers on it and they probably wouldn’t care about it later or after a couple of weeks.
It could also get lost. They would probably keep it in their pant pocket and when they change their clothes, it will probably stay there and they would lose it. Plus, it’s probably expensive.
This phone must cost a lot of money, meaning only people with a very big amount of money can buy it. Plus, with that money you could buy food with that or a really cool toy.
That is why I think the kiddie phone is wrong and is not worth buying.I also think buying a phone for your kid in general is bad, no matter which phone it is.

Breaking news, parents are alarmed that there are now cell phone s for kids ages 5 and up in Europe. And some parents aren’t alarmed there are cell phones for kids. Parents are debating not to have these cell phones for kids. My opinion is yes the children should have cell phones but
only if they are responsible The reason they should have cell phone is that what if they get lost in a mall or a museum they could call you and tell you where they are and that they are lost. Next if the child forgot his or her lunch or got heart the cell phone comes in again they would call them so they don’t get worried. Now your child is having an azma or any other sickness and they did not take there medicine or they don’t have there puffer with them they would call there parents and then they would come with there medicine. Now this is my opinion but there are negative things in it like 1. You have to pay a phone bill. 2. Some people think that it may cause health problems as not using imagination any more and last if they are irresponsible he or she might lose it. So I think it

I think they should’nt have cellphones because they could lose it and then there parents would be waisting there money and some people might think it is good because if they get lost in a mall they can call there parents but they could also ask there parents.
Most 5 year old kids have realy badmemory so they wont no where they put it.
The kids could also get brain cancer because there is 23out of 100 chance of that they could get brain cancer.
this is why i think kids should’nt have cellphones.

ATTENTION PARENTS Do you think kids above 5 need a cell phone? I dont think so, thats why in Europe sientits envented THE KIDDIE PHONE! But is this phone nesasery some say yes some say no. I am one who thinks nine and below should NOT use a kiddie phone. I think that way because they might lose it. May not no the value and trade it for snacks. One of my cousins age 6 got lost in a mall but he didnt cry he went to the head desk and pagered mom Im at the front desk come pick me up. These are my reasons why kids UNDER nine should not have a kiddie phone.

Breaking news there is a new cell phone in town you should get one right now. if you don’t what if you got lost you can use your cell phone and call someone you know or call the police. another thing if you where gone to swimming, basket ball or went to other peoples house alone with your friends or some where alone you can call your parents and tell them to pick you up by using this new cell phone. And i guess that there are two or one more reasons to buy this new cell phone . ok so this another reason to buy is this new cell phone well also if there is an emergency like someone is dying or are in trouble while your gone out you cant use your home phone cause its at home you can us the cell phone. and my last reason is that if you forgot something at home like you forgot a sheet at home you can use your cell phone and tell some one to drop it at there work or you can also forget your lunch, at home or maybe also forgot your gym clothes or anything you can use your cell phone .so these are my reasons why you need a kiddie cell phone. 5 years should or should not have cell phones? my suggestion is yes and a slight no. The reason why is because why would cell phones cause problems to peoples brains they could even make more games or actually play broken telephone or they could play hide and seek. If the electricity actually could have gotten to it then just put it on speaker or something. Also even if it could have cost a lot of money why dont u just give it to the kids if you think they a responsible enough then give it to the child, if he destroys things makes googly eyes doesn’t listen to the parent 50/100 then I suggest it’s a bad choice. My other reasons are because it would be more easier if you were in a mall and you were lost it would be rather easier to just call.
The reason why it shouldn’t be is because it could be highly possible for my question is if your parents had to go somwhere in U.S.A. and your all alone for the week but then they don’t have enough money for paying the babysitter because they paid for the bills, PHONE, and the trip to U.S.A. so then they are all alone trying to figure out how to use the stove or how to use the blender. That way the phone bill is highly big and there chance of being bankrupt (most importantly annoyed) is highly chance. That is my reason.

I think kids should have cellphones only if they are the age 8+ and VERY responsible.
My reasons are:
They might lose the cellphone and then there parents would have wasted there money.If someone finds it they may steal the phone and start calling the numbers on the cellphone.
If they get lost in a mall they don’t need the cellphone to call their parents they could just go to the nearest store in the mall and talk to a person who works there or go to the lost and found or information desk.
Also then you would have to pay more money.They would only get to talk for 6 minutes on their cellphone.Only the people with lots of money could afford the cellphone.When they get older they probably will want a regular cell phone.They probably won’t use it that much.
These are my reasons of why I think you shouldn’t buy a kid cell phone.

I think kids should have a certain age on getting cellphones.i think the age should be 8+because kids don’t talk much on cellphones to much compared to parents and teenagers. And also if kids get lost in malls or parks or they get kidnapped they would need it. But i think they also should not have cellphones is because cellphones can get you deaf if you talk to much. Everyone thinks they can act all cool with cellphones,like the new i-phone that is here. So its not always good to have cellphones at the age of five! I Also i think its good for them is because it would be sad that if some of the members in your families live far away like almost all my family lives in india. And it would be great if i could talk to them once in a while. And also i think its not proper is because i think when they just get the new phone they will talk to there friends all the time. So in my opinion it is even for kids to get a phone!

what about a kids cellphone? I think that kids should have a cellphone, just not at the age of five maybe at the age of thirteen . The reason being , if you are five you might lose it and some stranger will find it and call.Another reason is they might forget how to use it but at therteen they will hopefuly be responsible enough to have a cellphone and will not lose it.Well those are my reasons now you decide if you think your kids are responsible.

YO YO YO, FELLAS! I HAVE A GOOD BOOK TO SHARE THAT IS SOOOOO COOL, LIKE MR.WOODS! Its called Animorphs-The Solution. Basicly,its about these five kids and an alien {an andilite, to be exact. An andilite has seven fingers, is blue, has four legs, looks like a deer, has four eyes, some tan fur, a scorpian tail, and no mouth.}They can morph into any animal they want to, but they have to touch the animal. They made another animorph, David, who wants to kill the other animorphs. He almost sucseeded, but then Rachel, an animorph, tricks David into running into a cage in rat morph. They waited two hours for David to become a NOTHLIT, a person stuck in morph. David no longer bothers the other animorphs into sucseeding THEIR mission, defeting the yeerks. Ill explain later. If you want to read the book, its in the classroom. ENJOY!

And i guess that there are two or one more reasons to buy this new cell phone . ok so this another reason to buy is this new cell phone well also if there is an emergency like someone is dying or are in trouble while your gone out you cant use your home phone cause its at home you can us the cell phone. and my last reason is that if you forgot something at home like you forgot a sheet at home you can use your cell phone and tell some one to drop it at there work or you can also forget your lunch, at home or maybe also forgot your gym clothes or anything you can use your cell phone .so these are my reasons why you need a kiddie cell phone. The reason why is because why would cell phones cause problems to peoples brains they could even make more games or actually play broken telephone or they could play hide and seek. If the electricity actually could have gotten to it then just put it on speaker or something. Also even if it could have cost a lot of money why dont u just give it to the kids if you think they a responsible enough then give it to the child, if he destroys things makes googly eyes doesn’t listen to the parent 50/100 then I suggest it’s a bad choice. My other reasons are because it would be more easier if you were in a mall and you were lost it would be rather easier to just call.
The reason why it shouldn’t be is because it could be highly possible for my question is if your parents had to go somwhere in U.S.A. and your all alone for the week but then they don’t have enough money for paying the babysitter because they paid for the bills, PHONE, and the trip to U.S.A. so then they are all alone trying to figure out how to use the stove or how to use the blender. That way the phone bill is highly big and there chance of being bankrupt (most importantly annoyed) is highly chance. That is my reason.

I think kids should have cellphones only if they are the age 8+ and VERY responsible.
My reasons are:
They might lose the cellphone and then there parents would have wasted there money.If someone finds it they may steal the phone and start calling the numbers on the cellphone.
If they get lost in a mall they don’t need the cellphone to call their parents they could just go to the nearest store in the mall and talk to a person who works there or go to the lost and found or information desk.
Also then you would have to pay more money.They would only get to talk for 6 minutes on their cellphone.Only the people with lots of money could afford the cellphone.When they get older they probably will want a regular cell phone.They probably won’t use it that much.
These are my reasons of why I think you shouldn’t buy a kid cell phone.

And also if kids get lost in malls or parks or they get kidnapped they would need it. But i think they also should not have cellphones is because cellphones can get you deaf if you talk to much. Everyone thinks they can act all cool with cellphones,like the new i-phone that is here. So its not always good to have cellphones at the age of five! I Also i think its good for them is because it would be sad that if some of the members in your families live far away like almost all my family lives in india. And it would be great if i could talk to them once in a while. And also i think its not proper is because i think when they just get the new phone they will talk to there friends all the time. So in my opinion it is even for kids to get a phone!

The reason being , if you are five you might lose it and some stranger will find it and call.Another reason is they might forget how to use it but at therteen they will hopefuly be responsible enough to have a cellphone and will not lose it.Well those are my reasons now you decide if you think your kids are responsible.

September 26, 2008 at 6:33 pm (16 years ago)YO YO YO, FELLAS! I HAVE A GOOD BOOK TO SHARE THAT IS SOOOOO COOL, LIKE MR.WOODS! Its called Animorphs-The Solution. Basicly,its about these five kids and an alien {an andilite, to be exact. An andilite has seven fingers, is blue, has four legs, looks like a deer, has four eyes, some tan fur, a scorpian tail, and no mouth.}They can morph into any animal they want to, but they have to touch the animal. They made another animorph, David, who wants to kill the other animorphs. He almost sucseeded, but then Rachel, an animorph, tricks David into running into a cage in rat morph. They waited two hours for David to become a NOTHLIT, a person stuck in morph. David no longer bothers the other animorphs into sucseeding THEIR mission, defeting the yeerks. Ill explain later.
