A new law might be made to band talking on a cell phone while driving. Well, I think they should make this law. They should because when you are driving, you should have full attention on the road. If you are trying to dial a number in the car, you might lose control of the steering wheel. When someone is talking on the phone and they’re driving, they might lose control and could lose their life, putting their life in danger and might take someone else’s. Plus, you really don’t need to talk on the cell phone unless it’s an emergency. The chance of getting into a car accident while talking on a cell phone is very high. So when the Ontario people go and vote for this law, I hope it goes in my favor and we try to make drivers pay full attention om the road.

    No cell phones while driving
I think driving while talking on your cell phone is bad because you can put your self and other people in danger.
You should only have it for emergences. You can waste car incurrence, gas and points. It is against the law and it could cause accidents.

I would not be in favor of electronics because if you had a urgent call for life death situation or you have to call for job and you are calling but it is banned that’s one reason we shouldn’t ban it .Plus if you have a Bluetooth it is not distractions while driving because your looking at the road while you are talking so your not holding something your just plainly talking. Also if you have DVD’s in the car that’s no distraction you can just tell your child or people behind the driver that you can please lower the volume or put on some headphones. Also that way you can turn down the volume. Also the driver is not watching the movie the people behind the wheel are watching so why should we ban things like DVD’s? It makes the kids be quiet while you’re driving and it’s also entertainment. G.P.S. is no distractions at all because 1 it is helping not distracting. Two if you’re lost you can use it so that you can find your way to your location. G.P.S. helping you to explore different places you have never been before and good restaurants, and close gas station near by it could show you anything. What would be so bad about that? Ipods are only for music they are not distractions for the driver if the kid has headphones he cant hear a thing, or if the driver is listening he can just put it on his radio input so that he can put the volume very low but still can heart if a person is honking at you, or if a person trying to tell if you got a flat tire. So that way electronics are not bad if you do these things, that’s why its not bad to ban electronics.

Reasons for why talking in Cellphones in a car is wrong. By: Moksha Patel
It distracts people when driving. In other countries there is a law and a fine. For example, in Canada, cellphones are already banned in Newfoundland (dec2002) fines up to C$180- Banned in Quebec (Apr 2008) fines up to C$100.
When dialing a number you may lose control of the car’s steeling wheel and get into a ceric accident and that can cause someone’s life. You may get a ticket for talking on the phone and it might be C$100, $180,$22 or $55 When people are distracts good chance of being in a car accident. If you have headphones and that can distract you but if you are into the song then that’s bad. blue tooth are bad because when you go to off your cellphones then you may lose control of yours steeling wheel and a accident can happen. But if you need to call the police or someone like that then you could that is not a problem but you can’t talk on the phone for fun it wrong and it could cause a car accident.

    CELL PHONES ON THE ROAD

The debate around banning cell phones is a clear one to me. It is not a good idea to ban cell phone usage while driving for several reasons. Millions of people are involved with talking on the phone everyday while driving. Cell phones are not the only distraction that drivers face behind the wheel. First, using a cell phone on a long road trip is important to keep in contact with other cars. As well, people should feel that they can use the phone to dial 9-1-1 in case of an emergency without stopping the car. Only 4 out of ten provinces have banned the use of ell phones while driving. Ontario doesn’t need to be one of those provinces. Some cell phones are made that they can be operated without actually holding it. My reasons are clear, that this Ontario law to ban cell phones isn’t needed and not wanted.

I don’t think that cell phones should be banned when driving. Cell phone are helpful when driving because when driving they could be emergency and you mite call 911. When driving you can take bluetooth. Bluetooths are also a solutions for driving because at least you don’t have to hold your cell phone while driving there is no problem. Ipod are also not bad when you plug it in your radio. You can instantly listen to it while its not on your ears. The volume on a ipod you can put it down to low the volume so you can listen to that if a person is honking on you. G.P.S. are defiantly not distractions because they help you while your driving. Such as they are lost and they want to go somewhere so they can use a G.P.S. so that they can find there location. G.P.S. is also helping you if you want to find Different places like restaurants and gas station that are close

Banning cellphones and blackberries while driving is a smart idea. The first reason is it cut costs on your phone bill so you have more money to spend on something else that’s more importtant.
Reason #2,it saves lives. So people won’t be dieing every day
Reason #3, you will be more focus while driving, which saves lives.

    Banning cell phones during driving?!

For one thing, the only reason you should be on the phone in a car is if it is a complete emergency. If the call can wait a while well then it should wait till you arrive at your destination. My opinion is clear, if it is a complete emergency like you are in an accident. Also there are more distractions in a car that should stop as well, such as if you were stuck in a snow storm and your GPS is not working and you don’t know the route back home… then what would you do? What is wrong with a map? Since cell phones came out car crashes have been more consistent then ever before. I also do not like the matter of a bluetooth. Even though you are not holding the bluetooth it is still a big distraction. What if you do not like the person on the other end because they are stretching the conversation while you are hungry you may get mad start yelling and not pay atention to the road. while you drive you should have 100% of all your sences fixed on the road. These are the reasons that I know and I also hope they make a new law.
