I think that Ontario should make Remembrance day a holiday because it’s very sad just to hear that 1 person dies on T.V. but imagine more than 1. It’s very sad especially for people who had someone they knew die in the military. A holiday would be a time to stay at home and they could stay with their family for a moment of silence.
I think Rememberence day should be a holiday.(In Ontario I mean because I can’t talk for China because I’m not a citizen there)My reasons are that Rememberence Day is a day where you honor the soldiers and in Ontario every one’s been talking about fallen soldiers and soldiers who have made heroic efforts from either saving someone from a bombed building or taking down either a taliban o Al-Qaeda militant.If we talk about these soldiers a lot then we should have a holiday in Rememberence of them.Anyway,that’s my opinion I do not know if you might disagree.

I think Remembrance Day should not be a holiday because it not really a time to enjoy and have fun it a time to remember the solders who fought our country.And other reasons why we should not make Remembrance Day a holiday are you get to wear poppeys all day long at work and school and we have assembles for Remembrance Day with videos and people talking to us about Remembrance Day. And that why I think Remembrance Day should not be a holiday! !!!!!!GOOD NIGHT OT YOU ALL!!!!!!!!

I think we should make remembrance day a holiday because it’s a special day when we thank and remember the solders for fighting for our country and to protect it. And it would be a good time celibrating if we made it a holiday. Why? So you can be happy about it with your family and friends and have a good time together because they fighted for us to be happy in this country. Just like the survivors from the military but it was also great to have the people in the war who died because they maybe saved a friend in the military to live.

Rememberance Day is a very special and memorable time for the people who served and fought for our country, they give their lives to make peace. I think Remberance day should be a holiday because it’s a time where you remember the soldiers that died to fight for our country. Another reason why I think Rememberance day should be a holiday is because it’s a day to acknowledge and remember the people who have been so courageous to fight and make peace for our country. They must ABSOLUTELY BE REMEMBERED!!

I think Remembrance day shouldn’t be a holiday because, everybody at school can express their feelings to other people and not just to people at home. My back up opinions are, that you can learn from your friends and teachers at school what Remembrance day is all about if you don’t know what it’s really all about. My other back up opinion is that why would you want to be home when you can be seeing performances at school, churchs, and other performing art centers. I also think Remembrance day should be a holiday because, you could go visit the people that they deeply remeber the most if they died in a war, car accident, or wheather they died from the H1N1 flu. I think that it should be a holiday because, it’s a good time to spend time with family and remeber the fun times of their past away relitves. It’s also a good idea to make it a holiday because, people can take break of work or school and just relax.
I think rememmberence day should be a holiday because many people died fighting for this country so it should be just as important as the other holidays.We also celebrate it because at the end of WW1 Germany signed a contract that declared peace throughout Europe.Every poppie that you buy the money helps take care of those that were in WW1 or WW2.Thats why i think Remmemberance day should be a holiday
Yes. In my opinion, I think that Remembrance Day should be a holiday. Although we give two minutes of silence on November 11th, I don’t think it comes close to showing how much is deserved. In the past, soldiers have lost their lives or been injured. Families and friends have lost their loved ones. Everyday soldiers continue to risk their lives to protect our country. They are away from their home, their families and their friends. In school, we go to an assembly to remember the soldiers but people who have to work can’t attend events and sometimes even forget to give two minutes of silence because they are busy. If they had the day off, they could go to some Remembrance Day memorial services or watch them on T.V. It should be a holiday for everyone and not just some people such as Government workers. I think that everyone should have the same opportunities to remember our soldiers of the past and the present. We should continue to wear our poppies and make November 11th a holiday to honour the importance of all soldiers lives.
I want rememberence day to be a holiday because it is a good day to stay with the family. Troops deserve to be appreciated. Without our soldiers we could not suvive in this coutry.
I think that Remembrance Day should not be a holiday. I know that holidays are probably more fun than coming to school, but Remembrance Day is not just any day. It’s the day we remember those who have sacrificed their lives for all of us. That is why we wear poppies to remember them, because around their graves red beautiful flowers grew which we call poppies. At school we all stand up with poppies on our heart, close our eyes and remember. If Remembrance Day was a holiday not a lot of people wouldn’t celebrate it the way we celebrate it at school, for example we have videos at school which show us how bravely these soldiers fought but those may not be at everyone’s house. I think that Remembrance Day is a holiday which should be celebrated with the entire community—and school is a much bigger community than just our homes. This is because the soldiers didn’t fight for just one family; they fought for all of us so we should all celebrate it together. So I think that it is a much better idea to celebrate Remembrance Day at school but I also think that we should invite all the families to the assembly so that the entire community can be together. So there you have it, why I think we should all sacrifice a holiday to celebrate Remembrance Day together and remember the sacrifices that have been made for us.

I think Remembrance Day shouldn’t be a holiday because it’s a time when everyone stops and thinks about the people that risked their lives to save their country. The people that went to war must have had a really hard time. It’s time to think about what they wanted and what kind of pain they went through. Remembrance Day shouldn’t be a holiday because what if a war happened on that day and its a memory day about those people. Thats why I think Remembrance Day shouldn’t be a holiday.

Yes, for sure!I think that Ontario should make Rememberance Day a holiday because all people who live in this area should be thankful for all of those soldiers that protected our country and still do today! If these soldiers did not protect us we would be a very poor and small country. So we should make remberance day a celabration!

I think that Remembrance Day should be a holiday, but not one to stay home from school. It is important to think about and remember the soldiers that fought and died at war. Wearing a pin-on poppy that you can get at stores, is a way to show respect. Having a Remembrance Day assembly at school, and taking the moment of silence at 11:00am are other things to do on the 11th month, on the 11th day. We should not go home and watch TV all day, as we need to think about all of our Canadian soldiers who have risked their lives for our country. That is why I think that we should stay at school on this very important day, and not relax on it, but it should still stand as a powerful date on our calendar.

I think that Rememberance Day should be a holiday because it is a time to appriciate the fallen soldiers and your family during that time.
I think that we are so luckey that we liove in this amazing country and we are so lucky we have these brave soldeirs that go and fight for not just our country but others to.
We are just lucky to have no war in our country and any were near us.
so that is why i think it is important to have that holiday at home.

Rememberance day is full of sademotions and remembering brave people that have fawt in the war to help our country be a war free place and how we should be thankful that they all did that for us and won the big whole war type thing.Anyways the word remembrance means to me is to remember all of those soildures that have fawt in the war for us.I think we should be greatfull and somtimes evan a little bit a tiny bit sad as well beccause remembrance day is a sad holiday to be celebrating.that is my comments on Remembrace day thanks

I think Rememberance day should be a holiday because millions of soilders risked there live to help there country. Sadly a lot of soilders have died and where there grave was the poppys bloomed. So on November 11 11:00 we where poopys for the soilders that died.
I think Remembrance Day should not be a holiday because if you stay home some people would not remember the soldiers and just go on the computer or play video games. At school you do special activities, go to assemblies, learn about the soldiers and honour what they did for us. We should remember our soldiers because without them we would not have freedom. It is also good to remember our soldiers from the past and our soldiers now.
