Winter Is…

Winter is a time for me where I am torn between the good and the bad. Winter is snow forts and having fun outside in the powdery white stuff. Winter is also getting stuck in traffic due to the weather. Winter is a nice, warm cup of hot chocolate. Winter is cold fingers. Winter is Canada and winter means ice hockey. Winter is many grey days without our friend mr. sunshine. Winter is warm sweaters. Winter is thinking of those sleeping outside in the cold and hoping they get can get some warmth inside. Winter is snow boots and all the warm battle wear to combat the cold. Winter is shoveling late at night. Winter is a season that its’ ups and downs.

We wear snowpants, jackets, mittens, hats, sweaters and
scarves in the winter.
Winter is Christmas.
Winter is the time to turn on your heaters.
In winter the sun goes down early.
Winter is my Birthday.
Winter is the best season.
That is what I think winter is.

December 11, 2011 at 10:27 am (12 years ago)Winter is a time of year when you need to be in warm clothes like jackets, snowpants, boots, gloves, sweaters, hat, scarf and sometime earmuffs. I also wear longjohns to keep my legs warm in the winter. In the winter I go sking with my dad and I also take sking lessons at glen eden. I also go tubing and toboganning with family and friends. My dad is a ski patroller so I can go for free. In the winter we go skating, snowshoeing and we play in the snow building forts. We also celebrate the most wonderful time of the year, Christmas. The most fun part about Christmas is that my grandma sleeps over. We also get presents and lots of other things. When there’s a lot of snow, we listen to the news and we cross our fingers and hope that it is a snow day. So then we don’t have to go to school! Even though I miss the warm days of summer. I love winter.
