Winter is…
Follow this style of poetry and create a mood or a feeling surrounding winter.
It is finally here!
Winter is a time for me where I am torn between the good and the bad. Winter is snow forts and having fun outside in the powdery white stuff. Winter is also getting stuck in traffic due to the weather. Winter is a nice, warm cup of hot chocolate. Winter is cold fingers. Winter is Canada and winter means ice hockey. Winter is many grey days without our friend “Mr. sunshine”. Winter is warm sweaters. Winter is thinking of those sleeping outside in the cold and hoping they get can get some warmth inside. Winter is a cold classroom. Winter is wearing snow boots and all the warm battle wear to combat the cold. Winter is shoveling late at night. Winter is a season that has its’ ups and downs.

Having fun and making snowman.Enjoying the holidays such as new years.Frezzing in the cold white snow.Getting mad because you have to shovel the driveway.Watching Canadian Hockey teams in the NHL.Drinking the hot coco under the blanket.It’s also skiing,snow boarding and sledding.Makeing sure before youu leave somewhere to put on warm clothes.I love doing this making snow angels.Winter is not the time to stick your tounge to metal ha who am I kidding when is it ever the time to stick your tounge to metal.It’s defenitly not warm.The last thing I want say about winter is to have fun with your family

Winter is holidays such as Cristmas, New Years. Winter is getting your snow pants out. Winter is “not” t-shirts or shorts. Winter is sweater weather. Winter is cold cold cold. Winter is catching snowflacks on your tongue. Winter is playing in the snow and making snow forts. Winter is making arts and crafts
Winter is chill in with your family and watching movies. Winter is sleeping in on holidays. Winter is buying gifts for family and friends for Christmas. Winter is “not” going in the 60 degree pool. Winter is white cars, driveways and roof tops. Winter is singing Christmas carols.

Winter is turning on the fireplace and putting the heat on high,
it’s eating waffles with warm milk on the side.
Winter is snow days; when school is out,
winter is my mom grilling trout,
it’s playing in the snow ’til we can play no more,
coming in only when we’re all sore.
It’s driving on black ice which is super slippery,
it’s shopping at Justice® where the clothes are really glittery.
Winter is not warm and dry,
or playing with outdoor toys,
it’s not putting on suntan lotion,
and no sandcastle creations.
It’s the holidays with lots of visits,
from family, friends, you name it!
Presents and gifts,
with lots of holiday cheer!
Winter is December 4th and February 24th,
two very special days…
the 4th being my parent’s anniversary,
and the 24th being the day that I came into this world!
