Should Schools Change?

Do you agree with change or is school fine the way it is. Think about it for a moment.
100 years ago, there were one room school houses where 10 kids ranging from grade 1-8 were in one class….now there are classes that are taught entirely over the internet using web-cams.
Does our traditional view of schools need to change and if so, how?
What are aspects of school that you like that you wouldn’t like to see change?

March 5, 2013 at 9:11 pm (11 years ago)School should have some change in technology. The cool thing in some schools children do not know what to do in class, like if we are doing social studies. The teacher might be explaining something about the subject but on the projector and you do not understand!! That will be a big problem so I recommend that we all have a piece of modern technology(iPad/iPod/iPhone/Blackberry tablet)and the school has its own Wi-Fi and its own supply of modern technology. So we at least get to follow along with our own device or the school board’s. I do not want to completely change the writing into typing so we get to review our spelling skills. I also do not want everything to rely on technology since its bad for our eyes and so we can work in harsh conditions in the future, if we rely on technology every time we might forget our grammer,spelling and punctuation which are crucial to write with a pencil and paper.

March 6, 2013 at 9:49 am (11 years ago)I think schools should change the way thier teaching because in some places some schools have rules that girls are not allowed to go to school. I think that I would be happy when the whole world knows that school and educating is important to everyone. Everyone needs education even the adults need it because they didnt get a chance to study and be educated because their parents didnt let them or because they werent allowed to go school. My opinion is that they should have a chance to study weather they want to or they didnt get to. Farah.h:)

hardly pay attention to the teacher.but on the other side it would be fun. A new experience though. So I think school should change

March 7, 2013 at 1:17 pm (11 years ago)school should not change because 10 years ago people just had to write with a pencel and paper. Now its all about useing Ipads,Ipods and other things, when you get a job you will have to write alot unless you work at Apple. School should stay the same but it already changed. You will not really learn enything because when you type at school you just put on speal cheak.

March 19, 2013 at 7:21 pm (11 years ago)I think that schools should change the way their teaching.Over the years children are changing in different ways like for example a few years ago kids were in their classrooms learning with a book and some instructions given by their teacher.But over the years kids have changed in many different ways like kids today are intrested in technology and additionally addicted to them.That`s why in about a 100 years every kid that goes to school will have a technology device on their desk which will acknowledge them to learning differently.I am not saying that kids should completely give up reading and books but maybe if the teachers lets us use devices to do our work kids would put more thought and work into what they were given.:)
