How are the provinces being shown? What message(s) are you being sent? What image is being portrayed to you and how are they doing it? Was it effective in making you want to visit…how?

The message that is being sent is that Ontario is a really energetic, busy and fun place. There are alot of things ro do here. For example, it shows people eating ice-cream, snowboarding, singing, playing hockey and everyone is really happy…
In the other video it shows more of a calm place where people are by the sea hanging clothes, running in long grass and horses eating grass.
The image that is portrayed is that ontario is a fun place for you and your family and happy too…
It was effective in wanting to make me visit because there was swimming, niagara falls and the cn tower.

It shows that Ontario is a very active place with lots of hotels,restaurant’s,and just going out.
It is very different then the video about Newfoundland and Labrador which is very quite and green and the video is very free. I would want to go to Ontario if i didn’t already live in it because i would look forward to visiting all the places in Ontario.

The provinces are different because Newfoundland and Labrador is like all green and has lots of mountains. While Ontario is all buildings and factories. The message is that you choose where to live. Like in the Ontario video the guy says there’s no place like this. That means that people like places that others don’t. The image is like people having lots of fun swimming and playing with others in Ontario. While in Newfoundland and Labrador it’s much more peaceful and calm. It was effective to me because there are lots of things to do in Ontario so if you ask me I’d live in Ontario.

February 15, 2012 at 9:11 pm (12 years ago)The video I chose is the second one there’s no place like this Ontario.The Ontario one looks fun with a lot of words and a song to it.The Newfoundland and Labrador one has barely any words.Also the Newfoundland and Labrador look like there is no fun and everything is quite which is boring.Also Ontario has the CN tower and Niagara falls.Well New found land and Labrador has nothing special in it.The two videos are also different because the Ontario one has a few sports in the video and the Newfoundland and Labrador shows no sports and it shows animals eating.Also the Ontario one has a lot of buildings and the Newfoundland one has a lot of nature.Also in the Ontario one there are people diving in to a pool and in the Newfoundland and Labrador there is just kid running with a stick making sounds by rubbing the stick against the gate.So if I were you and watched these two videos I would go to Ontario because it seems way more fun.

It’s a really fun place and theres a pool lots ofpeople are there’s music and big house that are like mansion size. Streets and cars. There’s lots of snow in the winter and big bushes and its all green in the summer. I would love to go there because theres lots of stuff to do and places to see and ppeople to meet

why I picked the second video is because the second videos message was showing that Ontario is a very fun and active place where you can do lot’s of things there.
how I know that this message is saying this is because it shows people eating at a restaurant,going and getting ice-cream,going swimming and also singing.
so the people who have never visited Ontario can have a idea that Ontario is a very fun place.
This is why I picked the second video.

In the video Ontario is a very active, fun and exciting place with lots of things to do.
Newfoundland and Labrador seems like a quiet grassy and islandy place where people hang clothes on clothes lines outside and run around in the open space.
The video wants me to go to Ontario, visit the places there and do the fun things that the people who live there do.
If I were living in an other country I would want to go to Ontario because in the video it showed people snowboarding, eating strawberries,at some motels and at the Cn tower I would like to do the same things.
There is really no place like Ontario.

The one for Ontario was in the city and was loud. If I were to choose one place to go to it would be Ontario of course if I didn’t all ready live here.

The Provence of Ontario is being showed like it’s the best place ever because there are people singing,playing in a water park,eating ice cream and people are having to much fun. The Provence of Newfoundland is being showed like it’s a really calm,quit and nice place to have a relaxing trip there.
The images that are portrayed in the video of Ontario that they are having fun by singing,playing,going to the CN tower and Niagara Falls. The images that are portrayed in the video Newfoundland that the people are calm,quit and peace.
The message that is being sent in the video of Ontario is that where ever you go you wont find a place like Ontario in the whole wide world.
It was effective because when I saw them playing and having fun I was like WOW is Ontario really like that.
That is what I think about the video.
Aya…you’ve really got the message of the Ontario video. Clearly you like the busy life of Ontario and all “the sights” compared to the “slow pace” of Newfoundland

In the video it shows all the fun places and things that you can do when you visit no matter what the weather or season is. For example, if you come in the summer you can go camping, fishing etc and in the winter you can go snowboarding, skiing and other winter activities. You can choose to enjoy the big city life or the calmness of the country.The other attractions are the C.N tower, Niagara Falls, the museums, art galleries and shopping. Since Ontario has a multi-cultural society it also offers a variety of foods.
The video was very effective as it showed all the fun things that I would like to do when I visit a place.

February 16, 2012 at 8:37 pm (12 years ago)I picked the second one about ontario because it shows that Ontario is an active place. You could go snowboarding and go to water parks and other fun stuff. There is not a lot of open space in Newfoundland and Labrador, which is different than Ontario. New foundland is being shown as a quiet place through the videos soft music and hanged clothes. Its windy there, open space and not many houses and nearby water. The message is that in other places those locations don’t have the same things.

because it is a peaceful views and also I like the beatiful mountains and green grass and the beatiful blue sky the sacand video is mostly different from the first video I like both but I want to vist Newfoundland because I have naver seen it.

February 18, 2012 at 3:43 pm (12 years ago)I picked the second video because it tells you that Ontario is a fun place and it tells you a lot of fun things that you can do in Ontario like hockey, snowboarding, water skiing and many more like fishing. another reason that I picked the second video is because it’s a lot more fun and active than the first one because in the first on there is not many people and its very calm unlike the second one that has a lot of people and shows a lot of sports.
That is why I picked the second video.

The message that they are trying to send is Ontario is a great active and fun place to visit and live in.it has so much things you can do there like go fishing,snow boarding, swimming and water skiing.
The message is also that you can have a lot of fun there with your family. The video is also saying that there’s many many places to see and things that you can do there that you wouldn’t be able to do anywhere else but there.
They are also saying that this place might have a lot of people but it is still fun and quiet and relaxing.
That is all I have to say about there is no place like this-Ontario.

this video was about how Ontario is just such a fun place and a great and exciting place to go, there showing how there is hockey, fishing, snowboarding, playing,eating some icecream singing and more. The video that was about NewFand Land And Labodor was it was mostley just a simple queit place with no singing just very calm and just a relaxing smothing place other than Ontario it shows that its more outgoing and fun.
