Winter is…
Follow this style of poetry and create a mood or a feeling surrounding winter.
Although it hasn’t maybe truly felt like it yet…this season will be here before you know it.
Winter is a time for me where I am torn between the good and the bad. Winter is snow forts and having fun outside in the powdery white stuff. Winter is also getting stuck in traffic due to the weather. Winter is a nice, warm cup of hot chocolate. Winter is cold fingers. Winter is Canada and winter means ice hockey. Winter is many grey days without our friend “Mr. sunshine”. Winter is warm sweaters. Winter is thinking of those sleeping outside in the cold and hoping they get can get some warmth inside. Winter is a cold classroom. Winter is wearing snow boots and all the warm battle wear to combat the cold. Winter is shoveling late at night. Winter is a season that has its’ ups and downs.

Winter is getting to celebrate Christmas. Winter is not comeing to school on really snowy days. Winter is a season for everyone to enjoy and to not enjoy.

Winter is the time to see the leafless trees. It’s the time to put on the snow boots, hats, gloves, snow pants, and scarfs. Winter is the time to be ready to put on the heating and warm up your fire place for nice warm air, it’s the time to snuggle up and watch a nice Christmas movie. Winter is the time to keep out your milk and cookies cause “santa’s coming to town”. It’s the time to wake up on Christmas morning and look in your stocking then open your Christmas gifts from mum, dad, brothers/sister, and from relatives. Winter is waking up in the mornings and shoveling your driveway. Winter is the time to get ready for frost bites and nice snowy ground! – Amrita

The snow glistens in the daylight and the snowflakes are like a sting of coldness on your hand. Snow falls gracefully in the air and lands softly on the ground to make a coat of pure white. Snow can be made into almost anything. Winter is a graceful season.

winter is going ice skating and ice hockey. winter is building a snowman or a fort and making snow balls and trowing them at your friends.

Winter is a beautiful season especailly when the the warm sun shines on the cold snow,it is shiny!winter is curling up with hot choclate and being seted next to the fireplace.winter is the time of year where you bulid a snowman and snow forts,and don’t forget the snow balls! winter is the time to do winter sports like ice hockey and sking .In winter we have to wear a thick jacket and snow pants.Sadly winter will end but spring will give us different suprises.

Winter is climbing up snow mounds and sliding down them and sleding down hills and landing in a face plant. Winter is tring to make an igloo and tring to find the biggest icesicle on your roof. Winter is getting people off the couch to decorat the the tree and not like the other houses that look better then ours. Winter is finding out that your parents haven’t put on the heat yet and going to the fire for a little bit of warmth. Winter is going sking and getting ready for Christmas. Winter is for me is haveing to buy the six people (not including me) in my family gifts and hopeing not to lose all my money. Winter is throing snow balls at family, firends and the wall, thats right the wall. Winter is Whathing the small train going around the small tree. Winter is tring to whatch all the Chrisatmas shows and tring to keep the snow out side perfect by not running on it, but, in the end we all do. Winter is the time of bakeing and filling your hot chocalate with lots of marshmellows. Winter is regreting wearing a short sleeve shirt in class and sliding on ice and then someone telling you not to. Winter is not wanting to wake up in the morning because your so warm and eating lots of Christmas food. Winter is counting all the presants under the tree and bring out Chisatmas crackers.

winter is a season between spring and fall. Winter brings cold but beautiful snowflakes. But the snow makes your warm hand numb, but it is fun, making snow angels , snow forts, build a snowman and have a snow ball fight!! winter is when Christmas comes.
and on Feb 2 it is groundhog day and if the ground hog sees it shadow……………………………………6 more weeks of winter!

Winter is when you can curl up and watch good old Christmas movies. Its when you can go out and ski on fresh white blanket of white powder. Winter is when you build a snow fort and have snowball fights. Winter is when people can have an excuse to go outside. It is when you have put on heavy equipment like a heavy jacket, snowpants and boots. It is getting frostbites. Winter is when you have to turn on the heat to compensate for the cold. It is when all is white and bright. Winter is wondering what will be under your stockings this year. It is when you don’t go out very often. Winter is Canadians. My opinion on winter is FUN!!!!

Winter is when you can drink hotchoclate( carefull can be hot) with marshmellows and cookies, you can play in the snow and make snowmans,snowangels and catching the snowflakes with your mouth. Winter is the best of all because Christmas is in winter and December is a month in winter too. Winter is when you can open presents and take pictures of the memories you had in the past,and skating on an ice rank wearing warm colthes so you don’t get cold. Oh..got to go drink hot choclate… see ya.

winter is the trees losing all their leaves. It is the perfectly white snow flakes landing softly on the ground. It is having a fun snowball fight with your friends. It is sitting inside with a warm hot chocolate and watching a nice movie. It is shoveling the snow outside. It is putting on all the stuff to keep you warm like A jacket, Scarf, Boots, Gloves, And snow pants. It is the feeling of going outside and the cold air swiftly touches your face. It is The Start of an amazing hockey season. It is the Excitement for Christmas and new year.
Winter is a great Season.

See the pretty snowflakes falling from the sky.On the wall and roof tops soft and thick they lie.On the window ledges on the branches bare.Now how fast they gather,filling the air.Look into the garden where the grass was green covered by the snowflakes not a blade was seen.Now the black bushes look soft and white.Every twig is landen what a pretty sight!
